When I first started traveling to Europe, I would use one or two medium-sized travel bags to hold my toiletries, make-up, etc. Sadly, over the years, the list of products I need to make myself presentable on a daily basis has grown exponentially – so the bags I used to use no longer held all the tools I needed.
I looked around to find something that was cute, convenient and high-quality enough to not start falling apart after two or three trips. After a couple of duds, I finally found a winner: the Vera Bradley Hanging Organizer.
There are four sections to hold various items, and you just hang it over the hook on the bathroom door (or over a towel rack, shower curtain rod, etc.). It’s especially helpful if there is not a lot of counter space where you’re staying, because you can just keep everything inside of it. The best part is that every section is lined in a sturdy plastic material. So if something breaks or leaks in flight, it won’t ruin your bag….just wipe it out and it’s as good as new.
This particular pattern is Paisley Meets Plaid, but, sadly, it’s discontinued. You can still find some things online, but the selection is limited. I bought a few other pieces before it was discontinued, and these are perfect to hold everything I need to take with me (shown below in my carry-on suitcase):
All of the pieces are lined in plastic and are very easy to clean. You can check out the Vera Bradley website for all the current patterns…and they even have an Outlet section were you can save some money on non-current patterns that are selling out.
Anybody else out there love these Vera Bradley bags as much as I do??
